Tokyo Travel Guide

Tokyo, or Tokyo metropolis, is the capital of Japan, but not only...The largest metropolitan area in the world, the world's most populous metropolitan area, the most expensive city, the World’s Most Livable Megalopolis. But for me Tokyo is vivacious kingdom flashing with its flamboyant lights. I love Tokyo and now I want to acquaint you with its most distinguished places.

Harajuku.
Of course it is absurdly to visit Tokyo and miss Harajuku - a fashion capital of the world. Harajuku is a large shopping district, famous for its youth style and unique street fashion. This place dazzle everyone with flamboyance of colors, abruptness of shapes and originality of combinations.
The focal point of Harajuku's culture is Takeshita Odori - symbol of Harajuku. Street of Wonder. Lolita, Gyaru, Kogaru, Visual Kei, Punk, Oshare... Teenagers of finite subcultures and cosplayers (short for "costume play" - people dress as character from anime or manga) meet here every Saturday for socializing. It is really amazing sight.

Nippon Budokan.

Nippon Budokan is internationally known arena for modern Japanese and international pop and rock music. It is located in the center of Tokyo. Nippon Budokan's primary purpose was for Japanese martial arts (judo, kendo, karate, e.c.), but after it became a concert stage. In 1966, the first group performed in Nippon Budokan were The Beatles. After world famous singers start use Budokan to record their performances the Budokan gained universal fame. The worldwide executants such as Ozzy Osbourne, AC/DC, Dir En Grey, Guns N' Roses give their concerts in Nippon Budokan. It is really joyful amusement to visit Nippon Budokan. Here are pictures of "undress" Budokan, seems to be not very breathtaking.

And  following pictures are from concerts and it is real Nippon Budokan. I cannot imagine concert preferably: live music in enormous hall, decorated as a dream. It is amazing: your favorite is singing behind you and light effects are rhythmically flashing with music.
